An intersection in Quesnel where a pedestrian was struck and killed last year could soon be getting crosswalk lighting to make it safer.
The accident happened in November on North Fraser Drive just west of the walking bridge.
Mayor Bob Simpson noted at Monday’s regular Council meeting that they were approached by the MLA’s office about the potential for  $30,000 in funding…
While the crosswalk is currently lit it does not offer a flashing or signaled crosswalk light to notify drivers that a pedestrian is trying to cross.
