Quesnel City Council will open up the purse strings for a new skateboard park !

Kari Bolton is the Director of Finance…

“The Financial Sustainability and Audit Committee recommends to Council that Council provide early approval to the skateboard park capital project for 300 thousand in 2018 subject to approval of final design work.”

Council has approved a funding application for 30 thousand dollars to the Northern Development Initiative Trust to help pay for the project.

The plan is to use 50 thousand dollars from general capital and 220 thousand from the Federal Gas Tax money that the City receives to pay for the rest of the bill.

A stakeholder meeting is coming up on November 16th to review the three concept designs that the consultant came up with.
