Winter Conditions Keep First Responders Busy

The 100 Mile RCMP were busy yesterday as winter conditions rolled through the town and surrounding area.

Corporal Ryder Birtwhistle says there were 4 accidents reportedĀ in the morning alone, including 1 rollover and 3 off road incidents.

Corporal Birtwhistle details the road conditions.

ā€œToday it was the side streets that were a bit worse, like Horse Lake Road and other smaller streets. The highways were actually pretty good. When things go bad, like a couple weeks ago, when it was freezing rain and the highways were dangerous then.ā€

Advice passed on from ICBC and the RCMP reminds drivers to not be in a rush, use your road sense and drive to the conditions.
