A 48-year old Quesnel man is in custody following a robbery in West Quesnel last (Oct 11) night.
Sergeant Chris Riddle says a suspect entered a victim’s vehicle just after 11 o’clock and demanded money…
“The victim provided the suspect with a small amount of cash. The suspect then forced the victim to drive him to another location where he exited the vehicle which allowed the victim to leave the area and seek help.”
Riddle says the victim was shaken up by the ordeal but not injured.
He says they were able to provide the details needed for police to quickly locate the suspect and take him into custody.
RCMP are recommending charges that include Armed Robbery and Forcible Confinement.
