Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision In Quesnel Ends Tragically

There was a fatal accident in Quesnel last (Oct 7) night.

Quesnel RCMP have confirmed that a 20-year old Prince George man was struck by a southbound vehicle at around 8-14 on Highway 97 near Juniper Road.

Police say the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at G.R. Baker Hospital.

RCMP say they received reports of the victim impeding traffic prior to the accident.

They also talked to the driver of the vehicle and charges are not expected.

An investigation into the accident continues.
