Quesnel Runners Top Podium

The Cariboo swept the two senior races at a cross country running race at Cottonwood Island in Prince George on Saturday.

Brandon Balbirnie from 100 Mile House won the grade 11 and 12 boy’s race.

He was more than 2 minutes faster than anyone else.

Olivia Baptiste, from Correlieu in Quesnel, won the grade 11 and 12 girls race just ahead of her teammate Olivia Moody.

Megan Strand, from Quesnel Junior School, was first in Bantam girls which is for those in grade 9 and Bazil Spencer, from Correlieu, was 2nd in the Junior boys race for grade 10’s.

Quesnel will host the zone championships on October 22nd.
