Quesnel’s annual winter festival “Boots & Toques” will take place tonight. (Feb 7)

Jeff Norburn, the Director of Community Services, says several events will be held between 5 and 8 p.m. in arena #2 and in the hosting precinct in between the arenas and Lebourdais Park.

“For activities, in Lebourdais Park there will be sledding, snowshoeing, disc golf. In the hosting precinct in the Plaza there will be street hockey, carnival games, marshmallow roast, hot chocolate, crafts and in arena 2 that’s where the public skating will be with an appearance from the Quesnel Kangaroos as well as some crafts and popcorn and that sort of thing.”

Norburn says it is a fun family event that has taken place since 2013 in Quesnel.

It was held at West Fraser Timber Park up until 2018 when it was moved to the new West Fraser Centre.
