Top two teams battle in Quesnel’s Super League of Curling

Redz Shedz flexed it’s muscles last night in Quesnel’s Super (Sponsor) League of Curling.

Dave Plant and his crew increased their lead atop the standings with an 8-4 win over 2nd place Fresno Construction.

It was 6-4 after 6 ends and Redz Shedz sealed the victory with steals in the final two ends to improve to 8-2 and 1 on the season.

Fresno falls to 7 and 4.

Also last night, Brenda Ernst and Fix Auto got off the schneide with their first win of the season…6-3 over the Child Development Centre.

A steal of 3 in the final end was the difference.

And Dave Needham and the Billy Barker Casino rink stole one in the final end as well to knock off Northwind Refrigeration 5-4.

The Quesnel Curling Club is hosting a men’s and ladies bonspiel this weekend with a total of 32 teams taking part.

Big Donation Gives a Big Step for Quesnel Search and Rescue

The Quesnel Search and Rescue received a $5,000 donation from the Quesnel Elks Lodge #298. The Director of Quesnel Search and Rescue says donation will be going towards advancing the Search and Rescue's technical rope rescue kit.
