It remains tight at the top of Quesnel Super (Sponsor) League standings

Redz Shedz, the defending champions from last year, continue to lead the way this year in Quesnel’s Super League of Curling.

Dave Plant and his crew improved to 6 and 1 last night with a 6-4 win over Fix Auto.

Justin Nelson the Child Development Centre rink, thanks to a 5 ender, knocked off Northwind Refrigeration 8-3, and Tim Richards and Fresno Construction scored five in the first and cruised to an 8-2 win over the Billy Barker Casino.

The CDC and Fresno remained tied for second with a record of 5 and 2.

UPDATE: Snaking River Fire Breaks 1,000 Hectares: Nazko First Nation Issues Evac Alert

The Snaking River Wildfire is reported to be over 1,000 hectares in size. The BC Wildfire Service says day time heat and solar radiation have continued to dry the area, producing more fuel for the fire. The fire, located 65 kms west of Quesnel is producing smoke that is visible from Quesnel, Highway 97, and surrounding communities.
