Fire fighters respond to motor home fire in Quesnel

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department was called out to a vehicle fire on Friday (Nov 15) night.

Fire Chief Ron Richert says the call came in just before 7-30 p.m.

“The Quesnel Fire Department responded to a call at the bottom of Plywood Hill on Redstone Road to an RV on fire. Crews arrived and it was just a small fire just inside the doorway of the motor home. It was quickly extinguished and there was no further damage.”

Richert says no one was hurt.

“It was an abandoned RV that had been there for quite some time. The CRD is looking at ways at removing that RV from that site.”

Richert says the cause of the fire remains under investigation but he confirms that it is suspicious.

RCMP were also on scene.
