Host Quesnel takes home silver medal at under-15 hockey tournament

It was a tough loss in the final but an impressive tournament for the host Quesnel under-15 hockey team.

Quesnel took top spot in the round-robin with wins over Vanderhoof (8-0), Smithers (7-4) and Kitimat (9-1), outscoring their opponents by a combined 24 to 5.

They met Prince George in the gold medal game but lost 2-1 in overtime.

Seth Selzler had the only goal for Quesnel to tie the game at 1.

That is the way it stayed until the extra frame.

Terrace took third place and Williams Lake was 5th out of the 7 teams.

Williams Lake lost 4-3 to Smithers in the battle for 4th and 5th.
