The Race Is On For Williams Lake Business Excellence Awards

They’ll be putting on the ritz this Saturday night (October 26) in Williams Lake.

That’s when the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Business Excellence Awards will be handed out.

Executive Director, Tamara Garreau said the Kentucky Derby is the theme for this year and is hoping those attending this event will come dressed up as if they were going to the races.

We want to see the big hats and the hair fasteners, and the beautiful sundresses. We hope that some folks will dress up as jockey’s just for fun. Where we are holding it at TRU it will be decorated in red roses and we’re going to decorate the horse from the museum and put it on the stage as well.”

Garreau noted the Chamber received a total of 76 nominations for the 8 categories that are up for grabs.

Those categories include:

Not-for-profit

Tourism & Hospitality
