Quesnel man honoured for work in the community

A Quesnel man is the recipient of a King Charles the Third Coronation Medal.

Rick Wittner was presented with the award by Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes last (Thursday) night.

Wittner wears a number of hats, including President of the Cariboo Mining Association, President of the BC Placer Miners, and President of the Quesnel & District Chamber of Commerce.

Oakes says Rick’s outstanding leadership for the rights of placer miners and small business owners throughout the province have not gone unnoticed, adding that he is always the first one to offer a hand when needed.

The King Charles Coronation Medal is a visible and tangible way to recognize 30,000 outstanding individuals of all ages and from all walks of life who have made a difference in their communities.
