A resident from Surrey is a million dollars richer after purchasing a scratch ticket in the Cariboo.
BCLC Spokesperson Jessica Gares, says this isn’t the first time someone has struck it rich following the purchase of a ticket in the region.
“Last year a Williams Lake resident won $191,000 in a Lotto Max draw, and a resident in Bella Coola won the guaranteed $1 million prize in the October Lotto 6/49 draw and even more recently a Chetwynd man won $500,000 on Christmas for Lotto Max.”
Lisa Page from Surrey, purchased the ticket named Diamond Payout at Wildwood Foods in Williams Lake.
She says she plans to buy a condo and then travel the world with her winnings.
