Williams Lake to experience Grey Cup festivities tomorrow

The Grey Cup Festival Tour BC is making its final Cariboo stop tomorrow.

Residents in Williams Lake can celebrate the different activities the BC Lions have to offer, leading up to the 111th Grey Cup in Vancouver.

Festival Executive Director, Riley Wiwchar says the feedback from fans has been great.

“We’ve got everything from highlight videos to recording a message, which is a key feature, we’ve got flags there for people to sign which will be hung up during the festival itself in November.” says Wiwchar.

“There’s a bunch of different tailgate type games, and quite honestly people have been coming and hanging out for a couple hours just to be part of it.”

Wiwchar added that this tour is just a taste of the Grey Cup Festival in November, and will have information about it during the tour.

He says there will be a giant map showing what the festival will look like, with their ambassadors sharing what people can expect from the over 50 activities.

Wiwchar noted that this tour is a great way to get fans involved, and even create new fans.

The event will be located at Johnson Meier Insurance, and will go from 12:00pm until 4:00pm.
