100 Mile House RCMP investigating early morning break and enter

100 Mile House RCMP are investigating an early morning break an enter at a residence located on Canim Lake Road South.

Police received the report on Wednesday (August 14th), at around 2:20am, where an occupant awoke to the incident, and was allegedly assaulted by the suspect.

Sergeant Brian Lamb says the suspect left the residence, and another occupant of the home called police.

“Firearms and other items were observed to have been taken. Police attended the area and determined the location of the suspect at another residence in the Canim Lake Road South area.” says Lamb.

“An adult male was arrested and an adult female was detained without incident.”

Firearms and other property believed to have been taken were recovered after a search warrant was conducted with RCMP Police Dog Services from Kamloops, Forensic Identification Services from Williams Lake, and the Cariboo Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit.

The adult male was remanded into custody, and has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, break and enter, breach of an undertaking, and breach of a release order.

The female was released with no charges.

100 Mile House RCMP are continuing the investigation, and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456.
