100 Mile House RCMP attended a single vehicle collision on Highway 97 near Yale Road.
On August 7th, police and Emergency Health Service attended the scene where a Ford pick up truck was down an embankment, and the male driver and lone occupant were able to free themselves.
Sergeant Brian Lamb says an investigation began shortly after.
“A query of the license plate on the vehicle showed the truck was stolen from Kelowna.” says Lamb.
“The male was arrested for possession of stolen property and a search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia as well as a laptop computer also stolen from Kelowna.”
After the male, a Kelowna resident, was taken to hospital for injuries believed to had been minor, Lamb says a drug recognition expert attended after symptoms of drug impairment was shown.
He says a variety of physical and cognitive testing was conducted and a urine sample seized for testing.
An investigation is underway to determine whether or not charges will be laid.
