100 Mile House emergency crews attend vehicle fire

What started as a single vehicle collision soon became a fire south of 100 Mile House.

On July 29th, 100 Mile House RCMP were called to the incident on Highway 97 near Hill Road, where it was advised that a pick up truck towing an enclosed trailer went off the road.

Sergeant Brian Lamb said police attended and determined that there were no injuries.

“While at scene, the enclosed trailer which had cleaning supplies and spray foam inside, caught on fire.”

“100 Mile House Fire Department attended the scene to extinguish the fire.”

Lamb says traffic flow in both directions was stopped until the fire was extinguished and determined safe.

According to DriveBC, roads were cleared at 3:56pm, and had originally received reports of the incident at 11:05am.
