District of Wells has rescinded their Evacuation Alert

The District of Wells has announced that their Evacuation Alert has been rescinded.

The alert, which was originally an order, was issued on July 26th.

Mayor, Ed Coleman said in an email that the Wildfire Branch is confident that they have the Antler Creek wildfire “in hand” and weather conditions have improved.

The District has also said that residents returning should fill their personal vehicle’s gas tank before returning home, have a minimum of three days worth of food and essential supplies, and continue to check your properties and contents.

More information about the rescinded Evacuation Alert can be found on the District of Wells website here.
