doctors to get an eyeful of what life in the cariboo is like to work and play

The Central Interior Rural Division of Family Practice is launching a series of videos to attract potential doctors to relocate to the Cariboo Chilcotin.

Recruitment and Retention Co-ordinator Laurie Walters says taking the video route to get their message out was the most obvious way to achieve that goal.

“ As part of our marketing strategy it was important that we pick a medium and a way to get the attention of everybody and of course social media is one way to do that. And we thought videos were great. We started off only thinking that we’d only do one and we actually wound up doing five.

Walters says the first of five videos was released last week, each targeting and promoting the benefits of being a family doctor in the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
