Man arrested following gun complaint near Quesnel school no longer facing charges

Charges have been stayed against a man arrested in connection with a gun complaint near a Quesnel high school.

43-year old Jamie Ross Harkley was facing a charge of causing a disturbance.

Police were called to Correlieu Secondary School on Anderson Drive back on May 17th at around 8-15 a.m.

They were told that a man with a firearm was walking towards the school and that he was agitated and yelling at people.

The school was partially locked down as a precaution and the man was taken into custody without incident.

Police say a replica handgun was seized.
