Alleged credit card thieves being sought out by 100 Mile House RCMP

100 Mile House RCMP responded to two similar reports of theft at a business parking lot on the 90 block of Highway 97.

Back on July 8th, at around 12:40pm, the complainant was entering their vehicle after shopping at a nearby store, where they were approached by a male described as Southeast Asian, 5’8, heavy set, wearing a red and orange shirt with brown shorts, and a baseball cap.

Police said the male had told them that they had a flat tire caused by thumbtacks, directing the complainant to the underside of the vehicle, where there were thumbtacks in the tire.

Soon after, the complainant found that a credit card had been stolen from the vehicle and used at locations in 100 Mile House.

The exact same incident occurred where a credit and debit card were taken, with RCMP believing the male had purposefully damaged the tires, waited for the owners to return where a nearby female accomplice entered the vehicle to steal financial cards.

Police got surveillance images of the female believed to be involved, as they were seen at the location with the male at the time of the incident.

If anyone has any information regarding these incidents, or similar ones, are asked to call 100 Mile House RCMP.
