Hot July Nights making its return to the south Cariboo

Vehicle enthusiasts in and around 100 Mile House can look forward to this weekend’s event.

Hot July Nights will run for three days having 18 events such as golf, meet and greet, and rod run on Friday (July 19th), with Saturday having a poker run and dog agility show.

Chair, Marty Mahovlach says Sunday is when the Show and Shine begins, with the addition of new vehicles.

“This year we’re adding semi-trucks to the mix, and there will be motorcycles there.” says Mahovlach.

“We will have a variety of cars probably from A to Z and trucks as well, so they will be modified, there will be stock vehicles, there will be old ones and new ones.”

Mahovlach says last year they had about 400 vehicles take part in the events, and expects this year to get to 450, and potentially 500.

A lot of participants this year will be from out of town, such as Alberta, Fort St. John, and the furthest location being Salem, Oregon.

More information, as well as the full schedule for Hot July Nights, can be found on their website here.
