Quesnel RCMP respond to single vehicle rollover

Quesnel RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident just north of town this (Tuesday) morning involving a commercial truck.

Sergeant Clay Kronebusch says the call came in at around 8-30.

“The Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of an overturned concrete truck at the intersection of Highway 97 and Barkerville Highway. Police attended, there was a single driver with minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved. There is currently environmental crews on scene working on cleaning up any spillage.”

Kronebusch says the road is now open although flaggers were on scene directing traffic.

He says the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Kronebusch says alcohol is not suspected at this time.

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the accident aided by the Barlow Creek Fire Department.
