Cariboo’s Strongest is making it’s return to Williams Lake

The 7th annual Cariboo’s Strongest is back tomorrow with 11 competitions.

Back in 2017, competitor, Tyson Delay had heard from other competitors that they were unfamiliar with the Cariboo and other strongmen in the area.

From there, Delay looked to bring a competition to the Cariboo.

“I got home and I wanted to run a strongman show, so I talked to some folks at the gym, and they were like ‘ya we want in on that for sure’, and so I had a lot of local help for my first show.” says Delay.

“They helped me launch the first one, and then from there on I’ve had multiple different people help me out with organizing and stuff over the years.”

Previous years, the event had been held at the Wholesale Store parking lot, but with the popularity rising, the venue has moved to the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.

Delay says the new location is better suited for families.

The Cariboo’s Strongest event will begin from 9:00am until 4:00pm.
