Williams Lake First Nation adds cooling station to Sugarcane Health Station

Williams Lake First Nation is helping the community cool off during the heat wave.

A cooling station has opened at the Sugarcane Health Station, and will be open today (July 9th) and Wednesday.

They said refreshments will be available for anyone looking to beat the heat, with the station also having first-aid attendants available to check for heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Families will be able to watch a movie at the station, with colouring available for kids.

The health station is located at 2780 Indian Drive, and will be open from 1:00pm to 7:00pm each day.
