RCMP Investigate Assault at 7-Eleven

Williams Lake RCMP are investigating an assault on two brothers that occurred outside of the local 7-Eleven after they had walked to grab cigarettes.

Staff/Sgt. Del Byron says paramedics arrived at the store Tuesday afternoon at 5:03 pm after it was reported a male was unconscious on the sidewalk and another man was bloody.

RCMP arrived on scene shortly after to learn that the two men were brothers and had been assaulted.

The brothers who were walking to the store for cigarettes ran into three Caucasian males before arriving at the store and had exchanged words.

Upon reaching the store one of the brothers entered the store, while the other waited outside.

Byron says the brother waiting outside was repeatedly kicked and punched until he was unconscious.

The other brother who witnessed this from inside the store ran outside where he too was assaulted.

One of the three males were arrested while the other two fled.

Byron says one of them had a green hat.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP or Crimestoppers.
