100 Mile House & District Council to Support Nordic’s Grant Application

It was an easy call to make for the 100 Mile House and District Council as they decided unanimously at Tuesday’s meeting to support a funding application from a local group.

The 100 Mile Nordics will be applying to the Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) for a grant to help out with equipment and programming costs says registrar with the group Kathleen Rottluff:

We are looking to get new grooming equipment. We need a bigger groomer, a Ginzu Groomer is what they call it.  We need a nine foot Ginzu, so the District is supporting us on that front and also financially with some money to put towards that.

The group is also hoping to be able to add to their stable of rent-able equipment with an eye towards being able to facilitate a youth program in the future.

A funding decision from the NDIT wouldn’t likely be made until summer.
