Tears were shed this morning across the Cariboo, as flowers were laid at Cenotaphs honoring the life of Corporal Nathan Cirillo.
In Williams Lake, veterans and non-veterans alike stood in the rain showing their respect in front of the Cenotaph at City Hall.
Liberal  Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA, Donna Barnett, was there.
Barnett shares her reaction when the tragic the death of 24-year-old Corporal Nathan Cirillo was confirmed in Wednesday’s shooting at the National War Monument.
Vivian MacNeil, the daughter of a WWII veteran, was also in attendance.
The vigil also honored the life of Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent who was killed in a targeted hit and run on Monday in Quebec.
