A Williams lake man will attend court at a later date following a traffic stop by BC Highway Patrol over the long weekend.
100 Mile House RCMP Sargant Brian Lamb said on Monday the Highway Patrol was in the area of Highway 97 near Kokanee Bay Road when a vehicle observed was determined to have no valid insurance.
“The vehicle was stopped and the male driver admitted to not having a valid drivers licence. The driver was found to be prohibited from driving and was found to be in breach of probation conditions for possessing break in tools and instruments. The male was arrested and later released.”
Lamb said the drivers vehicle was impounded and removed immediately from the road due to unsafe vehicle defects and was issued violation tickets for no insurance and a defective vehicle.
This is one of four incidents BC Highway Patrol were involved with this past Monday (May 20th).
