Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department called out to early morning fire

An early morning fire in Wildwood prompted a response from emergency crews.

At around 4:12am, the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) attended a vehicle fire, which was a fully involved pick-up truck by the local gas station.

Regional Fire Chief, Roger Hollander says crews were on scene for an hour and 45 minutes.

“We had six members that attended that fire from Wildwood VFD. They were able to successfully extinguish the vehicle fire, and there were no injuries to either the firefighters or anybody on scene.”

Besides the truck, Hollander says there was no other reported damage caused by the fire.

RCMP also attended the fire, with the incident now under investigation.
