Co-accused in Williams Lake homicide appear in court

Two men, charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Williams Lake, appeared virtually today (Monday) in court.

26-year old Michael Bauer and 25-year old Garrett Shirey remain in custody are facing one count each of manslaughter and are due back in court on May 15th.

They are charged in the death of 19-year old Richard Todd.

Williams Lake RCMP received a report of a critically injured man who had been stabbed multiple times on Midnight Drive back on May 5th, 2022.

He was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Bauer and Shirey were arrested this past Friday on May 3rd, following an investigation that spanned almost two years.
