An annual event to help raise funds for the 100 Mile House Grad Class will be taking place once again.
This Monday morning (May 6) starting at 6, Country 840 will be taking “pizza day” donations live on air.
Morning Man Chris Adams said it’s always a fun time having dignitaries and guests join him in the studio for this special event.
“This started many, many years ago and it’s a fundrasier for the Dry Grad that the kid’s have every year. We all get together the same as we do on Turkey Day and take pledges. This time around a “pizza” is what we’re calling it and each pledge is $15 and the goal is 300.”
Adams noted that they will stay on the air until they the 300 goal and explained where the money raised will be going.
“We split the proceeds every year between the Dry Grad and what they call the PARTY Program. What that is, is an event where all the First Responders in 100 Mile House put on a true to life demonstration of the results of drinking and driving.”
Adams said those who would like to pledge a pizza can do so starting Monday morning at 6 by call 250-395-38-48.
