Hike for Hospice fundraiser taking place in Quesnel tomorrow

Quesnel and District Hospice Palliative Care Association is hosting a hiking fundraiser tomorrow (May 5th).

This will be the first in-person event since before Covid, and is part of National Hospice Week, which will be the primary fundraiser for the organization.

Executive Director, Suzannah Meir says the goal this year is to raise $6,000.

“We actually need updated equipment for our program delivery that we do for the public, like advance care planning and volunteer training, we need a new laptop, projector and a new speaker to go with that.”

Meir encourages the whole family to attend, with The Quesnel Literacy Society providing a book to each child that participates, and water, juice, and cookies.

Anyone wanting to attend can pre register here, or can register at the event at Lebourdais Park from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
