Cariboo Fire Centre is looking forward to this weekend’s open house

The Cariboo Fire Centre is geared up and ready to go for their open house tomorrow (May 4th).

This will be the second year for the event, coming off a well attended open house last year, that aimed to educate the community on the inner workings of the Fire Centre.

Fire Information Officer, Madison Dahl says the event is a great opportunity learn and ask questions.

“We have representatives from different parts of the incident command structure and help to explain what exactly goes on behind the scenes.” says Dahl.

“We’re going to open up the command centre, and then we’ll also have some of our crew members showing off what the fitness test looks like and what people have to go through for BCWS.”

Dahl says the fitness test portion of the event is new, which they look forward to people seeing.

The open house will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm at 3020 Airport Road in Williams Lake.
