Six Parcels Under Evacuation Alert In The Burgess Creek Area

An Evacuation Alert was issued for six parcels in the Burgess Creek Area between Williams Lake and Quesnel.

The Cariboo Regional District Emergency Operations Centre issued it last night (Sunday) at 7:45.

The Evacuation Alert covers 3,283 hectares because of the potential danger to life and health caused by wildfire.

The CRD said the Alert was issued to prepare those in that area to prepare to evacuate their premises or property should it be required and that residents will be given as much notice as possible prior to evacuation however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
