Williams man to be sentenced for manslaughter

A date for sentencing has been set for a Williams Lake man who pled guilty to a charge of manslaughter.

36-year old Kurtis Billy is due back in Supreme Court in Vancouver on May 2nd.

Billy was originally charged with second degree murder but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

He was arrested in connection with an incident in January of 2022.

Williams Lake RCMP were called to the Crestwood Apartments on Carson Drive for a disturbance, and upon arrival they discovered the body of a deceased adult male.
