The Williams Lake Fire Department responded to a call for service in the early hours of the morning over the weekend.
Deputy Fire Chief Brendan Foote said they received the call yesterday (April 14) shortly after midnight.
“There was a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Downtown Service on North Mackenzie Avenue. This was called in by the RCMP. We sent two trucks to extinguish that fire. Crews made an efficient attack on it and it didn’t spread anywhere else.”
The Williams Lake Fire Department was on scene for about 45 minutes and Foote said the RCMP is investigating the cause of the fire.
