Real estate market starts off quietly in 2024 in most parts of the Cariboo

   Home sales were up in the Lake City through the first quarter of 2024, but down in the rest of the Cariboo.
   The BC Northern Real Estate Board reported 28 sales in Williams Lake through March 31st this year, up from 19 at the same time in 2023.
   The average selling price of a single family dwelling was down however, by about 28 thousand dollars to $477,871.
   Sales in Quesnel dipped dramatically from 23 through March of 2023 to just 14 this year.
   The average selling price in Quesnel went from just over 354 thousand dollars in 2023 to $327,464 this year.
   100 Mile House, meanwhile, saw a slight decline in sales from 23 to 19, but prices actually went up by about 22 thousand dollars to $463,547 on average.
