Warm weather to continue through Easter Long Weekend until mid next week

Easter Weekend will be the last few days of warm weather with a short stint of cooler temperatures to follow.

The Cariboo region has had above average temperatures, along with drier conditions, but is looking to drop off a bit come next week.

Meteorologist, Yimei Li tells us when we can expect the nicer weather to end.

“We do have a ridge of high pressure over the majority of the province, so we’re looking at some fairly nice weather, above normal temperatures for this time of the year.”

“Daytime highs will be mid to high teens, and the nice weather will continue until Tuesday.”

Li says that the Cariboo will drop to single digits, and could even see precipitation by Wednesday, thanks to a weather system forming in Alaska.

The region is forecast to return to double digits on Friday, but won’t be as warm as Easter weekend.

She added that no records are expected to be broken this weekend.

More information on current and upcoming weather can be found on Environment Canada’s website here.
