A vehicle that caught fire after a crash on Gibraltar Mines Road in McLeese Lake has left one dead.

Williams Lake RCMP responded to a single vehicle accident yesterday that saw a tanker truck carrying high grade explosives go off the road and be engulfed in flames.

Police said that they, along with Gibraltar Fire evacuated the area and set up containment until the explosive risk was mitigated.
