Vehicle fire prompts Williams Lake RCMP response

Williams Lake RCMP responded to a vehicle fire in McLeese Lake.

At 4:03 this morning, police received a report of a single tank truck hauling explosive material on Gibraltar Mines Road.

RCMP said the vehicle was fully engulphed in flames, and as a result, the Explosive Disposal Unit was contacted and a 1.6-kilometer radius was established.

The vehicle is no longer on fire; however, investigators have been unable to get to the area for scene examination.

No further information is available, and more details may be released as they become available.
