Williams Lake Continued To Break Temperature Records

It was another record-breaking day for Williams Lake.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Derrick Lee said the Lake City continued to break daily records, 3 days in a row since Saturday.

“Yesterday’s (March 180 high came in at 19.4 degrees breaking the previous record 17.8 degrees set in 1932. Unfortunately Quesnel was unable to break the daily record yesterday from 1901 but was actually just point one degree away from it making it second place on record coming in at 17.1 degrees.”

Lee said the Cariboo will see the heat continuing today (March 19) but once we get into tomorrow night we’ll definitely see some clouds and anticipating a temperature drop by Wednesday and into early next week.

“Tomorrow, the first full day of Spring, the Cariboo may actually see a bit of precipitation.” Lee said, “There is a small chance of showers or even flurries so a big shift in the weather pattern.”
