Building in West Quesnel a Loss After Early Morning Blaze

There were no injuries to report from this morning’s structure fire in West Quesnel.

Fire Chief Sylvain Gauthier says the building, which is located on English Avenue, was vacant at the time of the blaze:

No injuries, and we’re pretty sure right now, I mean, we know for certain that the building was vacant at the time of the time. So, that was a good thing.

According to the chief, the structure was fully involved by the time the fire department arrived on scene and is considered a total loss at this time.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
