Williams Lake area murder suspect to learn his fate next month

   25-year old Waylon Darian Harry, who went to trial back in January, is due back in Supreme Court on April 26th.
   That is when Madame Justice Church will make her decision.
   Harry is charged with second degree murder.
   Williams Lake RCMP were called out to the community of Esk’etemc, about 50 kilometres southwest of the city, back in December of 2021 for a report of a suspicious death.
   Upon arrival, police say they discovered the body of a 19-year old female.
   A suspect was arrested at the scene.
   RCMP said at the time that they believed that the suspect and the victim were known to each other.

Truck fire the cause of grassland fire near 100 Mile House ice rink

A truck caught fire on Wrangler Way in 100 Mile House, that spread onto the nearby grass, creating a wildland fire. 100 Mile House Fire Department was able to contain the blaze quickly, and report no one was injured.
