One Person Injured In Early Morning Fire In 100 Mile House

100 Mile Fire Rescue responded to an early morning structure fire at the Parkview Apartments.

Fire Chief Dave Bissat said upon arrival yesterday (Wednesday) at 3:47 am, one of the third story apartments was engulfed in flames and firefighters were able to contain the fire to that single unit which suffered significant damage.

All other units were evacuated and one occupant suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

Bissat said two of the lower apartments had water damage and their Emergency Support Services team was deployed to assist those occupants who were displaced.

12 firefighters, BC Ambulance Service, RCMP, and Fortis gas attended the scene.

Bissat said occupants of the apartment building were allowed back into their homes by 7 am and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
