Interior Health announced that Dr. Robert Halpenny will be the new chair of their board of directors.
This comes after the previous chair, Dr. Doug Cochrane’s passing earlier this month.
Minister of Health, Adrian Dix said he was instrumental in delivering the tertiary cardiac program to Interior Health, along with the provision of helicopter services to meet patient needs in the region.
In a release from the province, Halpenny will serve as IH board chair until the end of 2026.
In addition, two new members will also join the board on a one-year term, ending February 28, 2025.
