Armed Robbery suspect in Quesnel scheduled to go to trial

   A trial date has been set for one of two people charged in connection with an armed robbery in Quesnel.
   36-year old Travis Paul is due back in court on August 27th.
   Paul is facing several charges including robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, uttering threats, wearing a disguised face to commit an indictable offence, and flight from police.
   Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot of the 7-11 store at approximately 2:46 a.m. back on July 27th of last year.
   The complainant reported that a male and a female approached two youths, presented a firearm, and demanded their wallet and keys.
   Police say the youths complied and the suspects fled in their vehicle.
   RCMP say the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit located the victim’s stolen vehicle the next day in Williams Lake.
   Police say two suspects were located and arrested, and that a replica handgun was seized during a subsequent search.
   31-year old Desarae Hiebert is also charged in connection with this case.
   She is due back in court on April 23rd for disposition.
