Cariboo athletes hit the ice at the Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games

   It’s day two of the Lhtako Quesnel 2024 BC Winter Games.
   The Zone 8 ringette team, which includes 6 Quesnel athletes, opened up with an 11-4 loss to Zone 2 from the Thompson-Okanagan this morning.
   Quesnel’s Elyse Anderson, the Captain, had one of the goals for Zone 8.
   They are back on the ice this hour against a combined Zone 6-7 team.
   The Cariboo-North East male curling team, which includes Brayden Tyrrell and Eli Sanford from Williams Lake, opened with a loss this morning as well.
   They will play again this afternoon, as will the Zone 8 female team that includes Talana Brown-John and Kelsey Camille from Williams Lake,
   No medals for the Cariboo so far, although Quesnel’s Hayden Booth came close yesterday in the Biathlon.
   He was 4th in the sprint, just 18 seconds off the podium.
   The Games run through Sunday morning.
