44 Calls For Service Responded To By Williams Lake Fire Department To Start 2024

It was a busy start to the year for the Williams Lake Fire Department.

Fire Chief Evan Dean said from January 1st to 31st they responded to a total of 44 call outs.

Dean said that included 7 motor vehicle incidents, 2 structure fires, one of which was for mutual aid to the 150 Mile Volunteer Fire Department, 2 wild land fires and 1 vehicle fire.

Other call outs responded to: 2 dumpster fires, 1 electrical fire, and several alarm calls for broken water pipes and faulty detectors.

Over the past long Family Day weekend, Dean noted the Williams Lake Fire Department responded to 6 calls for service from Friday evening until Monday evening.
